Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu was detained on May 26,2011 at Mumbai airport for not declaring goods, but was let off after paying duty.

Bipasha Basu was detained by Custom officials at the Mumbai international airport when she was returning from London.

The actress was let off after she coughed up a tax of Rs 10,000, allegedly for carrying personal goods worth Rs 65,000.

This comes, just a week after Minissha Lamba was detained on her return from Cannes for not declaring jewellery worth about Rs 30 lakh.

Lamba was allowed to go at after 16 hours of questioning and recording of statement.

Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba was detained on May 18, 2011,at the international airport here after undeclared jewellery was allegedly found in her possession.Lamba, who landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from Cannes, France, was crossing the green channel when she was intercepted, a senior customs official said.During the luggage check, she was found carrying jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh, the officer claimed.However, customs officials have refused to say how much of the jewellery being carried by the actress was undeclared.Lamba who was returning from Cannes, where she had attended the opening ceremony of the international film festival, is being interrogated.
